Error #1 - You are buying from new AliExpress suppliers that do not have reviews yet.
Very bad thing! When you buy from new suppliers, you run the risk of your customers not getting products or getting damaged goods. Really look for dropshippers that have at least 300 orders and 300 positive reviews.
You can easily set that at the top of the Aliexpress search. It really should not be an obstacle for you. Besides, the number of previous orders is always a good indicator of whether a product is selling well.
Error #2 - You are not talking to your supplier
AliExpress is cheap, I know... but why not save even more? For example, if you work with Amazon FBA and want to import a new shipment from China, that you order in large quantities anyway. Even with one euro difference, that can be several thousand euros in large batches that you let go through the cracks.
My tip to you at this point is that you simply write to the dealer on Aliexpress and ask him nicely for a discount, because if the relationship between you is right, you will buy more often - even in high quantities.
Error #3 - Your drop shipping store is driving too wide
"I sell EVERYTHING to EVERYONE, so there's something for everyone!".... Bullshit. If you think like that, your business is doomed from the start. We are not Amazon who can do this because they have been in eCommerce since the stone age. We have to find another way to position ourselves.
The best way to do this is to work from a specific niche and focus our entire online store on a specific product category and then complete it with accessories.
Always ask yourself "What could make my product much better and more attractive? How can I improve the experience my customer has with the product?".
Error #4 - You focus only on new customers
When is the best time to sell something to someone? Right, right after he has bought something! Sounds simple, but it is the main reason why most online entrepreneurs fail. They always focus only on new customers, because they want to get "fresh blood" into the business.
I have of course nothing against new customers but I always find it good when my existing customers buy more often from me, because then I do not have to spend on advertising and have made 100% profit (minus the product and shipping costs of course).
Error #5 - You do not listen to Mr. Market
If you always go there and only sell what you personally like, you will really fall on your face. "Mr. Market is a tough guy and he knows what he wants. He has a need and you have to be able to satisfy it. The only thing that matters is that you deliver value to your customer and fulfill his need for a solution to his problem.
